Electrical Testing

Fixed Appliance Testing:
This ensures that all distributed electrical systems are fully tested to comply with current regulations and ensure that they are safe for use.
The Electricity at Work Act 1989 states that all electrical systems and equipment that are used in the workplace should be maintained in a safe condition. Consolution strive to ensure that a client’s installation is tested fully to BS7671: 2008 and only perform 100% circuit testing where possible. By agreeing a testing schedule upfront with the client, minimum disruption is achieved.
Modern test equipment is used to ensure seamless integration via the testing software to ensure test reports and certificates are available in the minimum of time.
IEE Recommendations for maximum periods between inspections:
• Factories - 3 Years
• Commercial - 5 Years
• Residential - 10 Years
Portable Appliance Testing:
Consolution carry out PAT Testing to HSE Guidelines to help meet compliance with the Electricity at Work Regulation 1989 ensuring that all appliances used in the work place are maintained in a safe condition.
Testing is carried out with minimum disruption to the workplace by effective planning and scheduling directly with the client. A full report is available within days of completion.
Thermal Image Surveys
With the use of the latest Thermal Image Camera’s, Consolution provide a full Thermal Image Survey for predictive and preventative maintenance scheduling. Potential ‘Hot Spots’ are clearly visible from the images taken, enabling the client to quickly identify areas for immediate attention.
Equipment will include distribution boards and equipment in office environments through to industrial switchgear, motor controls and drives in factories. An initial site survey will determine the inspection schedule to be carried out and a full colour report is produced once the survey has been completed.
